Post-exam Courses (Sec. 1 & 2)

Damai Secondary School
(Paper Sculpture/Caricature Poster)

Lower sec. students were introduced to Paper Sculpture and Caricature for their post-exam activities in term 4. Sec. 1 students created Paper Sculpture work on theme of Birds and Owls, while sec. 2 students illustrated Caricature as posters with social messages.

Exposure Course: Local Art (Sec. 3 Post-exam Prog. T4)

Tampines Secondary School

In this course, sec. 3 students were exposed and introduced to 2 major periods of Local Art: Nanyang Art and Second Generation Art. With reference to these 2 Art periods, they did some experimental work on Still-life rendering and Abstract painting.

Cubist Still-life (Pri 4)

Hong Wen School

P4 pupils were introduced to Cubism with reference to work by Picasso and Braque. They worked on Synthetic Cubism in Still-life with subjects of bottles, pots and fruits portrayed. Finalwork were rendered in Collage Mixed Media.

               

Print-making (P5)

Tao Nan Sch

P5 students were introduced to basic print-making techniques using self-created stencils. They worked on theme of Natural Landscape, created compositions of work with perspectives in mixed media.

Relief Cubist Faces (Sec 2)

East View Secondary School

Sec 2 students were introduced to context of Cubism with reference to work by Picasso and Braque. They worked on relief mixed media in creating Cubist Faces for their finalwork.

Introduction to Chinese Painting (P1)

CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh)

In this course, P1 girls were introduced to basic Chinese Painting. They referred to work by Wu Guanzhong and did their hands-on on Trees and Lotus.

Houses with Recycled Mixed Media (Art Club)

Singapore Chinese Girls' School

In this course, the girls used recycled materials with mixed media to build houses and buildings. Their work were inspired from local scenes of Peranakan houses and HDB buildings.
