Cartooning & Manga (P5)

Ngee Ann Primary School

Cartooning & Manga is a course on the fun-making of Cartoon and Manga. Aside learning how to create these characters, they were taught rendering techniques using colour pencils and markers. Upon exploring subjects of human, animals and man-made objects, they employed ‘transformation’ techniques in developing their created characters.

Faces in Cubism - Me, Myself & I (P3)

East Coast Primary School

In this course, pupils were introduced to Portraiture in Cubism with theme of Me, Myself & I. They started off in drawing and sketching human faces before distorting them into cubist forms. Finalwork were assembled in Collage and Mixed Media with understanding of Shape, Texture and Pattern.

Animal Figurines in Paper Mache (Upper Pri.)

Park View Primary School

Pupils learned techniques and skills of Paper Mache with creation of 3D animal figurines in this course. They derived ideas from Animals, Dinosaurs and Imaginative Creatures in forming these figurines. Working from scratch in moulding newspaper into shapes of creatures, they applied techniques of Mache and Pop Art painting style in finishing the figurines. They range from 40cm to 90cm in scale and will be subsequently placed as part of an Installation with theme of 'Our Wonderland'.

Plasticine Relief Work (P2)

Edgefield Primary School

In this course, pupils learned to use plasticine in creating relief forms. They were introduced to Elements of Art such as Texture, Shape and Form before commencing relief hands-on with plasticine. Upon introduced to Principles of Design, they started to create interesting compositions for their work with theme of 'Sea World'.
